This new home in Golf Vue Place, was an adaption of a client supplied plan, which was chopped & channeled & amended to fit on the site with the right orientation for the sun & views. This was designed using Passive Solar principles, on a polystyrene waffle slab, with heavily insulated walls & ceilings, & a Trombe wall, behind a wall of North facing glazing (shaded from midday summer sun), to increase the thermal mass. Windows are double glazed.
A central courtyard off the Lounge creates a large wind protected suntrap, for family living & entertaining. Monopitch roofs allow for generous spaces internally, & a modern external appearance
